The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) announces that during the meeting of its Executive Committee held today, Thursday, June 12, it was decided that the Extraordinary Electoral General Assembly of the CFA for the election of a President — to serve the remainder of the term of the resigned President, Mr. George Koumas — for the football seasons 2025–2026 and 2026–2027, will take place on Tuesday, June 24.

Candidacies for the position of President of the Association must be submitted at least three full days prior to the General Assembly.

Any candidacy must be supported in writing by at least four (4) members of the General Assembly. No member of the General Assembly may support more than one candidacy.

Candidacies may be submitted either in person at the Association, by registered mail, by hand through a representative, or by fax.

Candidacies submitted after the above deadline will be considered late and will not be accepted.

Representatives from UEFA and FIFA will be invited to attend the proceedings of the Electoral General Assembly.
