The intermediate seminar for elite referees and assistant referees took place on Tuesday, January 14, in the meeting room of the Cyprus Football Association, aiming at continuous education and improvement of refereeing performance.

Under the guidance of the Chairman of the Refereeing Committee, Domenico Messina, and the VAR Education Officer, Igor Radojcic, important refereeing issues were analyzed, with particular emphasis on the following:

✅ Incidents within the penalty area
✅ Red and yellow cards
✅ Match management and tactical approach

Of particular interest was the lecture by psychologist Thalia Panagi, who presented stress management techniques, effective communication methods – focusing on non-verbal communication – as well as mental recovery strategies following unsatisfactory refereeing performances.

It is noted that on January 9, the refereeing observers' seminar was held, further enhancing the education of those involved in refereeing.
